Abstract
The effect of orally feeding 15000 I.U. of vitamin A during 15 days to male rats of the Wistar strain was studied on the sialic acid and hexosamine contents of the salivary glands. Sialic acid and hexosamine contents in the submandibular and sublingual salivary glands showed a decrease while those for the parotid salivary gland did not alter.
