The Nursing Outreach Program has developed a mobile program of continuing education to enable nurses in smaller hospitals, nursing homes, and home health agencies to provide skilled care for cancer patients and others, such as chronically ill, debilitated, or elderly patients in their rural community. This continuing education program is a 1-day program consisting of a lecture and a skills laboratory. The content is appropriate for all levels of licensed nurses and can be altered to meet the learning needs of each group.
