BACKGROUND
Lichen planus may rarely be localized to the nails.
OBJECTIVE
A case of ungual lichen planus is reported that was misdiagnosed as onychomycosis.
METHODS
A 52-year-old woman had progressive nail dystrophy for 13 months that was unresponsive to oral terbinafine. A nail biopsy was performed.
RESULTS
Histopathologic findings were consistent with lichen planus.
CONCLUSION
Onychomycosis may be confused clinically with other causes of nail dystrophy. It is important to confirm the diagnosis of onychomycosis with appropriate laboratory or histologic analysis.

扁平苔藓很少仅局限于指甲。
目的
报告一例被误诊为甲癣的甲扁平苔藓病例。
方法
一名52岁女性出现进行性甲营养不良13个月，口服特比萘芬无效，遂进行了指甲活检。
结果
组织病理学检查结果符合扁平苔藓。
结论
临床上甲癣可能与其他导致甲营养不良的病因相混淆。通过适当的实验室或组织学分析来确诊甲癣很重要。
