OBJECTIVE
To describe an additional case of urinary schistosomiasis, a rare disease in our setting.
METHODS/RESULTS: The clinical, radiological and cystoscopic features of urinary schistosomiasis are presented. The patient responded well to treatment with praziquantel.
CONCLUSIONS
Urinary schistosomiasis, a condition produced by infection with Schistosoma haematobium, is rare in our setting. However, it should be considered in patients with sporadic episodes of hematuria that have immigrated from or travelled to areas where this disease is endemic. A detailed clinical interview can provide this useful information.
目的
描述一例尿路血吸虫病病例，该病在我们当地较为罕见。
方法/结果：介绍了尿路血吸虫病的临床、放射学及膀胱镜检查特征。患者对吡喹酮治疗反应良好。
结论
尿路血吸虫病由埃及血吸虫感染所致，在我们当地较为罕见。然而，对于有散发性血尿发作且曾从该病流行地区移民或前往过这些地区的患者，应考虑该病。详细的临床问诊可提供这一有用信息。
