In the following interview with Health Care Strategic Management publisher, Donald E. L. Johnson, David L. Woodrum, president of The Woodrum Group, a Chicago-based health consulting firm, discusses the "turnarounds" and "revitalizations" of hospitals. In doing so, Woodrum draws on his past experience as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the American Hospital Association as well as chief officer for several hospitals.
