Abstract
Regular circadian variations in the mitotic index and in the number of cells synthesizing DNA (labelled nuclei index) were shown in the liver, epidermis, and in the exocrine portion of the pancreas in 7-day-old rats. The nature of these changes differed in the tissues under study. No regular correlations between the carcadian variations in these two indices were revealed.
