A review of 1,053 patients of leprosy revealed its prevalence in the hospital population as 2.4 per thousand. The commonly affected age group was 20-39 in both sexes; males predominating females in 1.8 : 1. The sequence of frequency of clinical types of leprosy was tuberculoid, borderline, neuritic and lepromatous. Mostly the patients report in the course of 2 years of awareness of the disease. The clinical features were classical and type specific.
