The graying of American and Chinese societies: young adults' attitudes toward the care of their elderly parents.

This article compares what younger people of different cultures think their responsibilities are concerning the care of their elderly parents. We examine American and Chinese college students' attitudes toward such issues. Research indicates that family care for the elderly is the key to the rapid growth of the elderly in both societies.
