In this study, plasma lipid peroxidation as assessed by thiobarbituric acid reactive substances and erythrocyte antioxidant status markers namely CuZn superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione and plasma levels of vitamin C and E were investigated in 20 patients with larygneal carcinoma and 15 healthy controls.
Lipid peroxidation was observed to be significantly higher (0.01 > p > 0.001) in the larynx carcinoma group in comparison to the healthy controls. Both stage I + 11 and stage III carcinoma patients were observed to have significantly higher thiobarbituric acid reactive substances than the control group. A significant difference was found in plasma vitamin E level between the control group and stage I + 11 and stage III carcinoma patients (p < 0.01, 0.05 > p > 0.02, respectively).
Our findings reveal the presence of increased lipooxidative damage in laryngeal carcinoma patients, but no change with respect to the endogenous antioxidant components-GSH, GSH Px, and CuZn SOD.
在本研究中,对20例喉癌患者和15名健康对照者进行了研究,通过硫代巴比妥酸反应性物质评估血浆脂质过氧化情况,并检测红细胞抗氧化状态标志物,即铜锌超氧化物歧化酶、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶、谷胱甘肽以及血浆维生素C和E水平。
观察到喉癌组的脂质过氧化水平显著高于健康对照组(0.01 > p > 0.001)。I + II期和III期癌患者的硫代巴比妥酸反应性物质均显著高于对照组。对照组与I + II期和III期癌患者的血浆维生素E水平存在显著差异(分别为p < 0.01,0.05 > p > 0.02)。
我们的研究结果表明喉癌患者存在脂质氧化损伤增加的情况,但内源性抗氧化成分——谷胱甘肽(GSH)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH Px)和铜锌超氧化物歧化酶(CuZn SOD)没有变化。
