The experience of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) for an acute cholecystitis in 192 patients aged from 24 to 92 years was summarized. The advantages of LC over an open cholecystectomy were noted. The peculiarities of the performance tactics, the results analysis, the complications prophylaxis were adduced. The authors are insisting on the necessity of an early performance of laparoscopy.
