The syndrome of essential tremor occurs commonly in parts of the Eastern Highlands District. This description of the clinical features is bases on experience of over 200 patients and the influence of some pharmacological agents on the severity of the tremor are recounted. The age and sex incidence in several related linguistic groups is shown to be much greater than in neighbouring areas; so that the disorder can be epidemiologically defined within geographic and ethnic boundaries.
特发性震颤综合征常见于东部高地地区的部分地方。本临床特征描述基于对200多名患者的经验，并讲述了一些药物制剂对震颤严重程度的影响。结果显示，几个相关语言群体中的年龄和性别发病率远高于邻近地区；因此，该疾病可在地理和种族范围内从流行病学角度加以界定。
