Our children live in lead-polluted environments. Lead can affect almost every organ and system in the body. Exposure to lead is more dangerous for young and unborn children because children absorb lead more readily than adults and because their developing nervous system are more vulnerable to lead effects. The amount of lead in polluted air in Tuzla has been fifteen times higher in the 1996, in relationship to 1985.
