A new rabbit experimental model was developed in order to study the role of the lymph system in the pathogenesis of diphtheritic myocarditis. We injected the diphtheritic toxin into the connective tissue (tela cellularis) of the anterior mediastinum. (It inevitably drains from there to the lymph vessels of the heart.) As a result, typical Diphtheritic Myocarditis along with the severe lesion of the regional lymph nodes of the heart was induced.
为了研究淋巴系统在白喉性心肌炎发病机制中的作用，建立了一种新的兔实验模型。我们将白喉毒素注入前纵隔的结缔组织（蜂窝组织）中。（毒素不可避免地从那里引流到心脏的淋巴管。）结果，诱发了典型的白喉性心肌炎以及心脏局部淋巴结的严重病变。
