Abstract

The change of the neuron's functional state when the cells become unable to generate spike responses to orthodromic testing stimuli, was shown not to be reflected in the morphological pattern of motoneurons as revealed by means of Einarsson's RNA staining. High-frequency stimulation of the motoneurons generating neither postsynaptic nor spike potentials diminishes the neurons size and intensifies their staining. A strong activation of presynaptic endings followed by no active postsynaptic processes on the neuron's membrane was shown to be able to entail major morphological alterations.

当细胞无法对顺向测试刺激产生锋电位反应时,神经元功能状态的变化并未在通过埃纳尔松RNA染色所揭示的运动神经元形态模式中得到体现。对既不产生突触后电位也不产生锋电位的运动神经元进行高频刺激会减小神经元的大小并增强其染色。已表明,突触前末梢的强烈激活随后神经元膜上没有活跃的突触后过程能够引起主要的形态学改变。
