Abstract
This article deals with the question when a mentally ill prisoner can be granted an interruption of the penalty according to section 455 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and what is its relation to a treatment in an external hospital according to section 65.2 of the Code of Penalty Execution. Additionally, the different status of the convict combined with the different legal consequences included in these two procedures, the permission of compulsory measures and the responsibilities of such procedures are explained.
