Rabbit pineal HIOMT activity shows a diurnal rhythm. The highest values are observed at night and the lowest during the daytime. Animals kept in permanent darkness show higher values than those in constant light. Bilateral superior cervical ganglionectomy results in a tenfold decrease in pineal HIOMT activity.
兔松果体羟基吲哚-O-甲基转移酶(HIOMT)活性呈现昼夜节律。夜间观察到的值最高,白天最低。饲养在持续黑暗环境中的动物比饲养在持续光照环境中的动物该酶活性值更高。双侧颈上神经节切除术导致松果体HIOMT活性降低至原来的十分之一。
