Abstract
Streptococcus pneumoniae has been a rare cause of endocarditis in the postantibiotic era. The emergence of antibiotic-resistant Pneumococcus species has been accompanied by isolated reports of penicillin-resistant S. pneumoniae (PRSP) endocarditis. We report a case of bivalvular PRSP endocarditis that was treated with vancomycin and trovafloxacin, and we review the literature on this topic.
摘要
肺炎链球菌一直是抗生素时代后心内膜炎的罕见病因。耐抗生素肺炎球菌物种的出现伴随着青霉素耐药肺炎链球菌（PRSP）心内膜炎的个别报道。我们报告了一例用万古霉素和曲伐沙星治疗的双瓣膜PRSP心内膜炎病例，并回顾了关于该主题的文献。
