Immune response to fowl cholera antigens.

Experimentally prepared and commercially manufactured bacterins were evaluated by a 2-stage bird protection bioassay. Ninety percent of the commercial bacterins gave acceptable protection levels to Pasteurella multocida type 1. Sixty-seven percent of the commercial bacterins produced acceptable protection to P. multocida type 3. Survival of 75 percent was considered acceptable protection.
