[Paul Duplessis de Pouzilhac].

The author pays tribute to the memory of Docteur Duplessis de Pouzilhac who was one of these old-time venerated practitioners. His thesis entitled "The Goncourt and medicine" received the congratulations of the jury, his litterary vocation came to the fore. Settled in Narbonne, he practised medicine and he wrote. As a doctor he was particularely interested in humble people. As a writer, he was inspired by the plagues which befall human beings. He created and launched the prestigious art magazine "Septimanie". He took part in the creation of the intellectual movement of provincial writers whose annual meetings he organized himself. As a lecturer he knew how to give importance to the rich heritage of the Languedoc country.
