Abstract

A case of treatment of obstructive cardiomyopathy by insertion of a disc mistral prosthesis (Cooley's technique) is reported. The result obtained was satisfactory from a clinical, haemodynamic and angiocardiographic standpoint. The mode of action of this technique is discussed.
