Abstract

Facial nerve palsy is a rare complication of stapedectomy. Its onset may be immediate or delayed by several days. The authors present a case of a 59-year-old man who developed right delayed peripheral facial nerve palsy occurring after uncomplicated ipsilateral stapedectomy. The incidence, treatment and prognosis of this complication are discussed.

面神经麻痹是镫骨切除术的一种罕见并发症。其发作可能是即时的，也可能延迟数天。作者报告了一例59岁男性病例，该患者在同侧镫骨切除术后出现了右侧迟发性周围性面神经麻痹，且手术过程并无并发症。本文讨论了该并发症的发病率、治疗方法及预后情况。
