To study the chemical constituents in the seed of Crataegus pinnatifida var. major.
Four compounds were isolated and identified by column chromatography and 1H, 13C-NMR data.
The compounds obtained were identified as protocatechuic acid, gallic acid, catechol and p-hydroxybenzoic acid.
All the compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
