Abstract
Prof. Yu not only explored the origin of Chinese materia medica and its development, but also emphasized the education and popularization of Chinese, materia medica. He was arduous in practicing, summarizing, and writing of Chinese material medica and devoted all his life to the development and ducation of TCM. He was conversant with both TCM and Chinese pharmacology.
