A little more than a year ago a study hit the news that changed the way many women and their doctors view the use of hormone therapy (HT) after menopause. In that study, which was part of the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), the most striking result was that the combination of estrogen and progestin (in the medication Prempro) resulted in more risks than benefits. Now additional risks are being identified.
