To investigate the expression and the significance of main heat stress proteins (HSPs) and p53 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Tissues homogenate and western blot were used to determine the level of HSPs and p53.
HSP27 and p53 elevated remarkably (P < 0.05) while HSP90 and HSP70 showed no significance between nasopharyngeal carcinoma and control tissues. Elevated level of HSP27 and p53 don't correlated with histological type and clinical stage.
Expression of HSPs and p53 show some difference in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue. These data suggest that HSPs and p53 may play a role in the development of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
