The investigation of hemoglobin concentration (HC) in erythrocytes of rats in prenatal and early postnatal period reported HC reduction in the process of animal development, especially marked during the first 5 days of postnatal life. The change in the character of cell distribution by hemoglobin has been established: the decrease in the width of distribution, the shift of histogram to lower values of hemoglobin concentrations, the appearance of marked modal class in adult rats.
