Nancy Bauser describes her experiences as a brain injury survivor and her quest to recover. After surviving an automobile accident in 1971, Bauser relearned how to walk, talk, and function independently. Despite her physical limitations, she completed undergraduate studies and her graduate degree in social work. Her current work includes peer counseling and conducting acceptance groups with survivors of brain injury and other traumatic disorders at outpatient treatment facilities.
