[Embolism caused by a fiber from a synthetic vascular prosthesis].

Authors report on an embolization due to synthetic thread following inplantation of a vascular prosthesis, demonstrated by means of polarization optics in the spleen, corresponding to the dacron threads of the prosthesis. Complications of that type following vascular operations should be taken into account.
