Abstract
The distribution of transferrin (TF) subtypes was determined by isoelectric focusing of sera from 284 unrelated individuals from Tarragona (south of Catalonia). The allele frequencies observed, TFC1 = 0.805, TFC2 = 0.162, TFC3 = 0.026 and TFB = 0.007 were similar to those reported for other Spanish populations.
