[Antimicrobial effect of hydrazides and ilidenhydrazides of (quinoline-2-ilthio)carboxylic acids].

Antimicrobial activity of hydrazides and ilidenhydrazides of (quinoline-2-ilthio) carboxylic acids has been studied. It was shown, that the majority of compounds had moderate antimicrobial activity. It was established that beta-(5-nitrofuryl-2)allylidenhydrazides (4-methylquinoline-2-ilthio)acetic acid showed the expressed antibacterial activity with respect to gram-positive bacterial and Candida albicans; it also suppresses the growth of similar yeast fungus.
