A study was made of the results of the 12-year prospective follow-up of 140 patients (69 men and 71 women) who suffered brain stroke. The initial group of patients included 1538 persons. The survived patients (9.1%) pertained mainly to the number of those who developed brain stroke at an age under 70 years and was not accompanied by grave clinical disorders in the majority of cases. On the whole these were patients with brain infarction of hemispherical localization. In the final stage of the work, almost half of the patients did not show any motor disorders and 70.7% of the patients retained the everyday life activity.
对140例(69名男性和71名女性)脑卒中患者进行了为期12年的前瞻性随访研究。最初的患者组包括1538人。存活的患者(9.1%)主要是那些在70岁以下发生脑卒中且大多数病例未伴有严重临床疾病的人群。总体而言,这些患者为半球性脑梗死。在研究工作的最后阶段,几乎一半的患者没有表现出任何运动障碍,70.7%的患者保留了日常生活活动能力。
