Abstract

Umbilical cord blood, derived from the umbilical cord at the time of delivery, is a rich source of haemopoietic stem cells and has been used successfully in the treatment of various diseases. Worldwide until now, more than 200,000 umbilical cord blood units have been cryopreserved and more than 5000 transplantations have been undergone. The basic technics for preparation, cryopreservation and storing of the material before transplantation have been represented.

脐带血是在分娩时从脐带中采集的,是造血干细胞的丰富来源,并已成功用于治疗各种疾病。截至目前,全球已冷冻保存了超过20万个脐带血单位,并进行了5000多次移植。文中介绍了该材料在移植前的制备、冷冻保存和储存的基本技术。
