OBJECTIVE
To present a series of 13 different cases of oral lichen planus (OLP) in 6 different families.
STUDY DESIGN
From 249 lichen planus cases, we found 13 that could be considered to be family related. A study of these 13 cases of OLP was carried out across the various generations, and the means of presentation, placement, and injuries were studied, as well as signs and symptoms.
RESULTS
The predominant affectation was in the women; only 2 patients were male. The mothers showed predominance toward erythematous OLP with greater symptoms, and in their children, symptom-free white OLP was predominant.
CONCLUSIONS
It seems there may be some genetic predisposition toward OLP.
目的
呈现6个不同家庭中13例不同类型的口腔扁平苔藓（OLP）病例。
研究设计
在249例扁平苔藓病例中，我们发现13例可能与家族相关。对这13例OLP病例进行了跨代研究，研究了其表现方式、发病部位和损伤情况，以及体征和症状。
结果
主要受累者为女性；仅有2例男性患者。母亲们多表现为症状较重的红斑型OLP，而其子女中则以无症状的白色OLP为主。
结论
似乎OLP可能存在某种遗传易感性。
