The authors report two cases of rare type of hamartoma in the lungs of men (fibroleiomyomatous hamartoma) submitted to a successful operation. The changes were located in the region of large bronchi, causing their narrowing. The authors believe that the muscular coat of the wall of the large blood vessels or bronchi is a probable starting point for proliferation.
