Inhibitors of the angiotensin conversion enzyme are used more and more for the treatment of hypertension patients. In this literature-review the efficiency of these drugs in lowering the blood pressure of aged patients is examined, as well as their relation to age and their influence on the morbidity and mortality of older people.
