Solidarity is one of the four values in European healthcare. Solidarity has resulted from a long lasting process governed by the moral experiences of people who suffer and need support. Developments in the modern health care system defy that concept of solidarity in propagating individualized care and insurance. In the long run this might change the moral basis of healthcare.
