[Psychoanalytic aspects in long-term management of hospitalized chronic psychotic patients].

This article reflects the experience of several years in the treatment of long-term hospitalized chronic psychotic patients. The point of view is psychoanalytic; the background is given by the modern Ego Psychology in the meaning of Blanck and Blanck and the Object-relations Theory in the Kernberg version. Special remarks are made on the phenomenon of regression.
