BACKGROUND
Primary essential cutis verticis gyrata (CVG) is characterized by folds and furrows of the scalp, resembling the convoluted appearance of the brain, and is not associated with other abnormalities. Most patients with CVG are treated with surgical methods, such as scalp reduction; however, surgery may not be suitable for patients in whom the area involved is large.
METHODS
A 37-year-old man with primary essential CVG was treated with a scalp subcision technique under local anesthesia.
RESULTS
A successful cosmetic improvement was obtained.
CONCLUSIONS
The scalp subcision technique is a safe procedure and should be a treatment option for primary CVG.
背景
原发性真性头皮回旋状萎缩（CVG）的特征是头皮出现褶皱和沟纹，类似大脑的回旋状外观，且不伴有其他异常。大多数CVG患者采用手术方法治疗，如头皮缩减术；然而，手术可能不适用于受累面积较大的患者。
方法
一名37岁的原发性真性CVG男性患者在局部麻醉下接受了头皮皮下分离术治疗。
结果
获得了成功的美容改善效果。
结论
头皮皮下分离术是一种安全的手术方法，应作为原发性CVG的一种治疗选择。
