Abstract
A novel human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-B51 allele, officially named HLA-B5158, was identified in the cord blood from Korean. HLA-B5158 allele shows single nucleotide difference from B510101 in exon 2 at nucleotide position 214 (C/T), resulting in an amino acid substitution, Trp48Arg.
