Abstract

Inflammation is a hallmark of various diseases like infections, autoimmune syndromes, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disorders, and cancer. Thereby, Th1-type cytokine interferon-gamma is a central pro-inflammatory mediator. Antioxidant compounds counteract the activation of T-cells and macrophages. This anti-inflammatory activity could be important for the development of immunotolerance and for treatment of above-mentioned disorders.

摘要

炎症是多种疾病的标志,如感染、自身免疫综合征、心血管和神经退行性疾病以及癌症。因此,Th1型细胞因子干扰素-γ是一种主要的促炎介质。抗氧化化合物可对抗T细胞和巨噬细胞的激活。这种抗炎活性对于免疫耐受的发展以及上述疾病的治疗可能很重要。
