To determine the efficacy of intravitreal injection of sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) gas for reducing persistent subfoveal fluid after scleral buckling surgery for macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachments.
We injected 0.3 ml of SF6 gas into the vitreous cavity of two eyes of two patients with persistent macular retinal detachment 3 and 5 months after successful scleral buckling. Optical coherence tomography was performed before and after surgery.
Subfoveal fluid was displaced peripheral to the fovea immediately after gas injection and the fluid was absorbed gradually in both eyes.
Persistent subfoveal fluid after scleral buckling may be treated with intravitreal SF6 gas injection.
确定玻璃体腔内注射六氟化硫(SF6)气体在治疗黄斑裂孔性视网膜脱离巩膜扣带术后持续性黄斑下液方面的疗效。
在两名患者巩膜扣带术成功后3个月和5个月,向两名持续性黄斑视网膜脱离患者的两只眼中玻璃体腔注射0.3 ml SF6气体。手术前后均进行光学相干断层扫描。
气体注射后,黄斑下液立即被推移至黄斑中心凹周边,且两只眼中的液体均逐渐吸收。
巩膜扣带术后持续性黄斑下液可通过玻璃体腔内注射SF6气体进行治疗。
