To study the chemical constituents from the roots of Linum usitatissimum.
The compounds were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography, their structures were elucidated by physico-chemical properties and spectroscopic data.
Ten compounds were isolated and identified as vanillic acid (1), syringic acid (2), xanthine (3), vitexin (4), isovanillin (5), (E)-3,3'-dimethoxy-4,4'-dihydroxystilbene (6), tachioside (7), beta-sitosterol and stigmasterol (8 and 9) mixture, berberine (10).
Compounds 1-3, 5-7, 10 were isolated from L. usitatissimum for the first time.

分离鉴定出10个化合物,分别为香草酸(1)、丁香酸(2)、黄嘌呤(3)、牡荆素(4)、异香草醛(5)、(E)-3,3'-二甲氧基-4,4'-二羟基二苯乙烯(6)、塔希甙(7)、β-谷甾醇和豆甾醇(8和9)混合物、小檗碱(10)。
化合物1-3、5-7、10首次从亚麻中分离得到。
