Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has revolutionized brain imaging in veterinary medicine, making possible improved characterization of intracranial pathologic processes. This article focuses on MRI features of acquired brain disorders, including infectious inflammatory, noninfectious inflammatory, cerebrovascular, metabolic, nutritional, toxic, degenerative, traumatic, and neoplastic causes.
