The standardized incidence rate of NPC was 14.44/10(5) (male 20.31/10(5), female 8.95/10(5] and the standardized mortality rate was 10.91/10(5) (male 16.00/10(5), female 6.14/10(5] in Zhongshan city during 1970-1984. The fluctuation of incidence and mortality rates were 13.66-18.07/10(5) and 9.02-13.95/10(5) respectively. It was worthy to be mentioned that both the incidence and mortality rate of NPC were relatively stable in 1970-1984.
1970 - 1984年期间，中山市鼻咽癌的标准化发病率为14.44/10⁵（男性为20.31/10⁵，女性为8.95/10⁵），标准化死亡率为10.91/10⁵（男性为16.00/10⁵，女性为6.14/10⁵）。发病率和死亡率的波动分别为13.66 - 18.07/10⁵和9.02 - 13.95/10⁵。值得一提的是，1970 - 1984年期间鼻咽癌的发病率和死亡率都相对稳定。
