Abstract
Dytiscus marginalis has a polytrophic ovariole and the maturing oocyte passes through 14 growth stages (S1-S14). Among these, S1-S10 are previtellogenic and S11-S14 vitellogenic stages. Structural changes in the nurse and follicular epithelial cells in relation to growth and maturation of the oocyte are described.
