[Case findings of pulmonary tuberculosis in patients admitted to general hospital].

91 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, misdiagnosed as nontuberculous cases and admitted to department of internal medicine, were analysed clinically and compared with 85 cases of chronic bronchitis. We found that X-ray and sputum examination were still important diagnostic methods for pulmonary tuberculosis in general hospital. The result also showed that haemoptysis was an important clue. In order to improve the detection of pulmonary tuberculosis, it was suggested: outpatient department for pulmonary diseases should be set up in general hospital; for suspected cases, X-ray and sputum examination should be carried out.
