Serum concentrations of follicular stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), Estradiol (E2), Progesterone (P) and testosterone (T) of 42 women with gallstones and 35 healthy women were measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA). It was found that the levels of FSH and E2 were significantly higher in reproductive aged-women with gallstones than in healthy reproductive aged women. The level of E2 was higher, but that of LH was lower in postmenopausal women with gallstones than normal postmenopausal women. The results of stepwise regression showed that the risk of gallstone in reproductive aged women was increased with rising serum levels of FSH and E2, but decreased with rising serum level of T. In postmenopausal women, the risk of gallstone was increased with rising serum level of E2, but decreased with rising serum level of LH. The data indicated that the formation of gallstone in women was associated with the dysfunction of pituitary-gonadal endocrine axis.
采用放射免疫分析法（RIA）测定了42例胆结石女性患者和35例健康女性的血清卵泡刺激素（FSH）、黄体生成素（LH）、雌二醇（E2）、孕酮（P）和睾酮（T）浓度。结果发现，育龄期胆结石女性患者的FSH和E2水平显著高于健康育龄期女性。绝经后胆结石女性患者的E2水平较高，但LH水平低于正常绝经后女性。逐步回归结果显示，育龄期女性胆结石风险随血清FSH和E2水平升高而增加，但随血清T水平升高而降低。在绝经后女性中，胆结石风险随血清E2水平升高而增加，但随血清LH水平升高而降低。数据表明，女性胆结石的形成与垂体-性腺内分泌轴功能障碍有关。
