Abstract

BACKGROUND

Patients with severe complaints of radiation-induced fibrosis after breast-conserving therapy and not responding to conservative therapy, were treated by partial mastectomy and m. latissimus dorsi reconstruction.

METHOD

To determine the feasibility and outcome of this approach, a retrospective study of nine patients was carried out.

RESULTS

After a mean follow-up of 46 months, eight of the nine patients experienced improvement of their complaints and shape of the breast. In only one case did the procedure fail, as evidenced by continuation of all complaints.

CONCLUSIONS

Partial mastectomy and m. latissimus dorsi reconstruction is the ultimate option in the treatment of radiation fibrosis. The procedure is safe with satisfying results.

摘要

背景

对于接受保乳治疗后出现严重放射性纤维化且保守治疗无效的患者，可采用部分乳房切除术和背阔肌重建术进行治疗。

方法

为了确定这种方法的可行性和效果，我们对 9 例患者进行了回顾性研究。

结果

平均随访 46 个月后，9 例患者中有 8 例的症状和乳房形状均得到改善。只有 1 例手术失败，所有症状均持续存在。

结论

部分乳房切除术和背阔肌重建术是治疗放射性纤维化的最终选择。该手术安全，效果满意。
