C virus is a highly seroprevalent ubiquitous polyomavirus which is acquired at an early age through respiratory or oral route, Thereafter JCV establishes persistent, but mainly asymptomatic, infections in various tissues, including the genitourinary tract and brain. In individuals with altered immunity, viral replication can occur leading to serious organ diseases. In contrast to polyomavirus BK, that is found infrequently in the urine of healthy adults, JC viruria occurs universally. Herein we describe a case of an otherwise immunocompetent patient who presented a very high-level asymptomatic polyomavirus JC viruria following long-term steroid therapy.
C病毒是一种血清流行率很高的普遍存在的多瘤病毒，在幼年时通过呼吸道或口腔途径感染。此后，JC病毒在包括泌尿生殖道和大脑在内的各种组织中建立持续感染，但主要是无症状感染。在免疫力改变的个体中，病毒复制可能发生，导致严重的器官疾病。与在健康成年人尿液中很少发现的多瘤病毒BK不同，JC病毒尿普遍存在。在此，我们描述了一例免疫功能正常的患者，该患者在长期接受类固醇治疗后出现了非常高水平的无症状多瘤病毒JC病毒尿。
