Worldwide bronchial asthma is one of the most common chronic respiratory disease, having a significant impact on patients quality of life. The aim of asthma management is to reach a well controlled asthma status on long run. Therapeutic guidelines emphasise the importance of drug inhalation therapy. The author emphasises the benefits of inhalation therapy, summarizes the basics of inhalation techniques, reviews the benefits and pitfalls of using the three basic types of inhalers. Finally it is stressed, that patient adherence and patient education is crucial to experience the full clinical benefits at all level of health care providers including the essential role of community pharmacists.
在全球范围内，支气管哮喘是最常见的慢性呼吸道疾病之一，对患者的生活质量有重大影响。哮喘管理的目标是长期实现哮喘的良好控制状态。治疗指南强调了药物吸入疗法的重要性。作者强调了吸入疗法的益处，总结了吸入技术的基础知识，回顾了使用三种基本类型吸入器的益处和缺陷。最后强调，患者的依从性和患者教育对于在包括社区药剂师的重要作用在内的各级医疗保健提供者处充分体验临床益处至关重要。
